Transition Updates & Upcoming Meetings!

abolitionchurch.substack.com

Hi everyone,

We hope that this email finds you well! As we mentioned in our last email, we are currently in a period of transformation and transition as a community. We are trying to center sustainability, accountability, and radical transformation, and we know that means things might move a bit more slowly. We know that there are also a lot of logistical questions that have come up as we all try to figure out what it means to engage in this work well.

To that end, we have two upcoming events we would like to invite you to!

  • Bi-Weekly Transition Meetings starting Thursday, April 28th at 8pm EST/5pm PST: Every other week on Thursdays at 8pm EST, we will be hosting transition meetings. The first one will be a chance for us to talk about current updates, lingering questions, and what we would like to get out of future meetings. Anyone is welcome to attend! Join us on Zoom here.

  • Monthly New Penpal Orientations restarting on Sunday, April 24 at 4pm EST/1pm PST! In the midst of this transition, we have still been receiving many requests for penpals. Currently, we have 603 people on our waitlist! Do you want to become a penpal? We are restarting regular New Penpal Orientations. We anticipate holding these monthly, with the first one being Sunday, April 24th at 4pm EST. Join us on Zoom here.

Want to connect more? Join our Slack!

Best,

Transition Team

This is great. For those who can't make it to the Transition Meetings on Thursdays, will you all have information posted or sent out from those, especially regarding the current updates?
